I made a small mod for Vintage Story!

I found I quite like playing with the setting that makes the soil unstable but discovered that an easy way to greatly reduce the challenge it provides to building stuff is to turn the soil into perfectly stable packed dirt that you can use to build whatever gravity defying structures you like.

For now went with the easiest solution I could think of to do something about that which was to just adjust the recipes for packed dirt and rammed earth to provide only half the blocks. That feels like it might be enough to make the effort of acquiring stable blocks to build with roughly in par with other options you have. There also was once a time where I ended up having tons of soil stacks and trying to figure out what to do with them and recalled that packed dirt is a thing so should turn them into that but realized that packed dirt despite the name doesn't actually take any less space than regular soil so this also solves that as a bonus.

In the future if I can figure it out I might also adjust the packed dirt and rammed earth to not be stable.

I also thought about making the recipe require using a press or some other machine/tool instead of being hand craftable but not sure if that's a good idea nevermind needing to figure out how exactly to do it.
